Halle Berry: Had a crush for the first time before sex

There's a first time for everything. This is also the case for Halle Berry. She has now revealed that her partner Van Hunt stands out from all her other predecessors in one respect: "I had a huge crush on him BEFORE we had sex for the first time. That's never happened to me - never before!"  

Unlike her career, where "I always planned everything out beforehand", she let her love life "drift rather haphazardly", she said in an interview with Marie Claire magazine. Always with a very negative outcome.

"The right one"
Until Berry then decided to give the universe a sign that she was ready for a new kind of relationship: "No sooner had I realized what I had been doing wrong up to that point and finally knew what I wanted, I happened to meet Van's brother. I've known him for years. He said, why don't you arrange a date with my brother?"

Halle actually met up with the musician in 2020 and a deep relationship developed over time: "It took a while for it to really work out. But because of the way we got together, I'm convinced: he's the one for me!"I

"No longer the dancing bear"
According to the "Monster's Ball" beauty, as she's gotten older, she's decided that she no longer wants to just satisfy other people's needs: "I'm now always the oldest person in any room I walk into. It's a good feeling because I no longer have to be the dancing bear. I no longer have to be diplomatic with everyone or worry about other people's egos and insecurities."

Berry now only does what she wants to do herself. She doesn't care what others want. "Or in my daughter's words, my mother doesn't give a fuck what anyone else thinks."

Berry has long since come to terms with the fact that she is not getting any younger: "Age is just a number that is attached to us at birth. As a woman, you are only defined by age by men." She herself feels "better and stronger today than in my 20s". Berry turned 58 in August.
