Divers found “treasures” during watch rescue in the lake

The Frogmen firefighters actually only wanted to train in the freezing cold and pitch-black waters of the Mühlviertel - but this turned into a mission. A swimmer had sunk his expensive watch and while searching for it, the helpers also found several other sunken "treasures".

"My Apple Watch has sunk" When two divers from the Aschach an der Donau fire department were practising in the "Resilacke" in Kleinzell, they were called to help by a young swimmer. His expensive smartwatch had slipped off his hand and sunk into a flooded granite quarry around 20 meters deep.

15.5 meters, ten degrees
The two divers sank to the bottom at a depth of 15.5 meters at the spot in question, scanned the muddy bottom in almost complete darkness in water temperatures of just ten degrees - and came across "treasures" they had not been looking for - three diving goggles and a Samsung watch, before they actually felt the black Apple Watch.

While the watch had long since stopped in the water, the smartwatch was still working. "The owner could hardly believe his luck," said the firefighters.
