Are the pitfalls of technology targeting the popular pop singer, presenter and entertainer Andy Borg? 

There are three sides to everything. A positive, a negative and a funny one," said the German comedian Karl Valentin. Fans of Andy Borg have now had this aha experience.

The pop singer pulled his microphone out of his trouser pocket during a live ARD broadcast and began to sing - but he was holding it upside down. It was only after he had warbled several bars into the microphone handle that he realized he had made a mistake. Like a pro, he energetically turned it around and pretended it was part of the show. It made no difference to the powerful vocal performance.

Because it obviously came from the tape. Borg might as well have been holding a folding rule in his finger. It's called playback. That's less bad than Health Minister Johannes Rauch's menstrual problems.

But it's not the first time that the entertainer has had a mishap. During "Schlager fun with Andy Borg" in the summer, the 63-year-old elegantly formed his lips to the song "Cara Mia". But the audience only heard music. Again, the darn technology was to blame. Borg continued undeterred until the lyrics finally emerged from the depths of the studio. "Mamma Mia!" - he had worked hard to earn this Punch of the Week.
