A chance for Marko?

Fierce criticism! Arnautovic colleague “cheats” Inter

Inter Milan suffered a severe setback in the championship match against underdog Monza. After the 1:1 draw, the Italian press went after the reigning champions. Former Bayern player Benjamin Pavard, in particular, was given a hard time. He had "betrayed" his coach and his team. However, one of Marko Arnautovic's rival strikers has also come in for criticism. 

Inter remain unbeaten in the new Serie A season with two wins and two draws. However, this does not protect them from criticism in Italy. The reigning champions put in a poor performance against underdogs Monza on Sunday and have now come in for a lot of criticism.

Two French internationals were particularly harshly criticized. First and foremost ex-Bayern defender Pavard. The "Gazzetta dello Sport" wrote, for example, that he was "downright mocked by his opponent Dany Mota". In fact, the Frenchman did not look good at all when the underdogs scored the opening goal and also played a weak game in other respects.

But that's not all! The accusations in the media go one step further, as they say: "The otherwise so elegant Frenchman has betrayed his coach and his team". Strong statements, but he is not left completely alone with them.

Because his national team colleague Marcus Thuram also got a good talking to. After his strong start to the new season, he had shown a different face in the game against Monza and let the team down. He was eventually replaced by Arnautovic in the 74th minute. However, the Austrian international was unable to make the most of his chance. The 35-year-old remained pale and must improve himself.
