Dead after Russian attack on Danube port

At least three people were killed and 14 others injured in a Russian drone attack on the Ukrainian port city of Ismajil on Friday night, the military governor of the region reported. The port on the Danube is important for Ukrainian grain exports.

Several residential buildings, other buildings and cars were damaged in the attack. Just a few hundred meters away is NATO and EU member Romania, which reported that the Russian drone may have penetrated there for less than three minutes. As a result, two F-16 fighter jets and two Spanish F-18 fighter jets were sent into the air.

At least eight people were injured by Russian airstrikes in the Kherson region of southern Ukraine. On Friday morning, a Russian missile hit a police station in the industrial city of Kryvyi Rih. At least one man was injured. From the city of Dnipro, the administration reported a Russian missile attack that had hit an industrial plant.

Kremlin reports new conquests
The Russian military is currently advancing on the front in eastern Ukraine and has reportedly captured two more towns in the Donbass industrial region. The Ukrainian General Staff described one of these villages as still being contested on Friday. However, military observers have been describing the situation in the other village as Russian-controlled for days.

The Ukrainian troops lack personnel and material. Bloggers assume that the town of Wuhledar, which is almost surrounded, will also fall in a few days. It has long been considered a difficult bastion to take.
