In many parts of Carinthia, the sun was already smiling from the sky in the morning on Monday and the high fog also disappeared in Klagenfurt around midday. However, the golden autumn weather will not last - the next rain front is coming.

Monday will end sunny and mild everywhere, but by Tuesday it will be gray and damp/mild air will move into Carinthia. The morning will still be dry, but around midday it will gradually start to rain from East Tyrol. "The Carnic Alps are expected to see the most precipitation. The least rain will fall in the Lavant Valley," reports Ubimet meteorologist Konstantin Brandes.

The low will make it a few degrees milder again. Brandes: "It will probably rain all the way up." This means there will be no new snow in the mountains. 

It will be changeable throughout the week. While Wednesday will be somewhat friendlier again, the next precipitation is expected on Thursday. With a bit of luck, a high will prevail at the beginning of next week - and then bring sunshine for at least a few days.
