On Saturday shortly before 4.30 a.m., the 21-year-old Austrian woman was driving a small truck on Münchner Straße in the town of Kufstein. "There were four other people aged 16 and 17 in the vehicle," said the police.

E-call activation triggered an emergency call

According to the investigators, four people were seriously injured, with a 17-year-old Austrian initially unresponsive. After first aid, he was taken to Kufstein Hospital by ambulance. The 21-year-old attempted to drive away from the scene of the accident in the small truck, but was prevented from doing so by a passer-by (24). "In the process, the 21-year-old hit the man on the left temple with her cell phone, injuring him," said the police. A breathalyzer test carried out on the driver was positive. She will be charged.
