If you don't get involved with a narcissist in the first place, you won't run the risk of falling victim to them - sounds logical, but is often easier said than done. This is because narcissists are clever and disguise their negative sides. That's why so many people fall for them: "Realistically, the chances of exposing narcissists on a first date are very slim. They often come across as very charming, self-confident and convincing at first," warns clinical psychologist Katrin Zoncsich. She also knows how to escape narcissists.
