Former Chancellor Kurz makes millions with his company

Sebastian Kurz has been active as an entrepreneur since his departure as chancellor - and quite successfully too. In 2023, he was able to significantly increase his profits. His Israeli cybersecurity company Dream Security is doing particularly well.

Kurz switched from politics to business over two years ago. In 2023, he was able to increase his profit as an entrepreneur from 1.9 million (2022) to 3.9 million euros.

The former ÖVP politician has several mainstays. The most important is his cyber security company in Israel (Dream Security), but he also has a consulting company (SK Management GmbH) and an investment company (AS2k), which he runs with investor Alexander Schütz.

Israeli start-up is his most important project

• Kurz considers his most important entrepreneurial project to be the cybersecurity company Dream, which he founded two years ago with two partners in Tel Aviv, Israel. The company employs over 100 people, specializes in artificial intelligence and has a valuation of more than 200 million euros.

• SK Management, on the other hand, is a consulting firm that also invests in companies itself. It advises groups in various parts of the world, not only on business management, but also on geopolitics. The focus is on the Middle East. Ten people are employed.

• Kurz also recently founded a new company in the ex-OMV environment. He holds a one-third stake in KFF Vision Green GmbH.

Door to door with Blümel and Köstinger
Kurz has an office in the centrally located Fichtegasse in Vienna. There he sits door to door with three long-time loyal companions, the two former members of government Gernot Blümel and Elisabeth Köstinger as well as his head of cabinet Bernhard Bonelli.
