Investigators are still faced with a mystery: it is still unclear exactly what happened in a run-down house in Adnet. The fact is: a woman (67) was stabbed to death here and the perpetrator is still on the loose two days later. The residents of the tranquil Tennengau village are shocked and stunned ...

"We live in fear", one resident told the "Krone" newspaper. She lives not far from the crime scene in the Waidach district. She would rather not give her name - the fear is too great. "After all, the perpetrator hasn't been caught yet," she says. Other residents also report similar incidents and also want to remain anonymous. "I even took a shower in the dark yesterday evening," says a woman from Adnet. 

The police secured evidence at the crime scene.

DNA traces are to convict perpetrators
The investigation is still ongoing. "There is nothing concrete, the surrounding area is being searched intensively," the police said on request. They have to wait for the evidence to be analyzed. The analyses of fingerprints, shoe prints and DNA traces are taking time. 

Fact: A German citizen (67), who according to "Krone" information does not live here, was killed in the house on Tuesday evening. Stabbed with a kitchen knife - the police have since confirmed. The murder weapon has already been recovered. The number of stabs remains unclear. The woman is said to have been visiting her brother, who lived in the house.
