Colorful celebration: “To a glass of wine with Andi!”

This was the motto under which the top winegrower, President of the Winegrowers' Association and former State Councillor for Agriculture from Donnerskirchen celebrated his milestone birthday surrounded by a crowd of high-ranking friends.

A winemaker with heart and soul - that's how Andreas Liegenfeld can be described in a nutshell. Professionally - as with wine - he can look back on vintages with abundant yields and top quality. On Tuesday, the highly esteemed jubilarian celebrated his 60th birthday on venerable ground. In the recently opened Haus des Weines in Donnerskirchen, including the culinary hotspot "Morizz - Brot & Wein", many guests accepted the invitation "Auf ein Achterl mit Andi" from late afternoon.

Estate as the most important winery
The estate served the Esterházy family as the most important winery in what was then western Hungary from the Baroque period until the beginning of the 20th century - once closely associated with Prince Moritz von Liechtenstein and his wife Leopoldine Esterházy Galánthá, visionaries and lovers of enjoyable celebrations at the same time.

Numerous guests
Burgenland's political and business celebrities as well as the winegrowing elite and winegrowing luminaries did not miss the celebration around Andreas Liegenfeld. Everyone who is anyone was in attendance at the House of Wine.

Well-wishers included Wine Tourism Managing Director Christian Zechmeister, Wein-Burgenland Chairman Herbert Oschep, Winegrowing President Johannes Schmuckenschlager, Member of Parliament Walter Temmel, former Provincial Councillor Michaela Resetar, former Provincial Governor Hans Niessl and many other well-known friends.

 "Andi" was toasted almost every minute with a good glass of wine: "All the best, may many more excellent Achterl follow!"
