Man (59) watched children being raped

In Paris, a man "ordered" the rape of children in the Philippines and watched it via livestream. In court, the 59-year-old confessed to the acts and described them as "horrific" and "disgusting". He was sentenced to 25 years in prison.

Between 2012 and 2021, the man paid women in the Philippines to rape girls and carry out other sexual assaults on them. He watched the crimes himself via a webcam, gave the women instructions and masturbated. The victims were between five and ten years old, the accomplices received between 50 and 100 euros.

According to the investigation, the former graphic designer spent a total of more than 50,000 euros on his crimes. On Friday night, he was found guilty in Paris of repeated complicity in rape and other sexual assaults against minors. The 59-year-old was also convicted of involvement in human trafficking and child pornography. The man will now spend two thirds of his 25-year sentence in preventive detention.

Already convicted ten years ago
The court also ruled that the Frenchman must compensate his victims and must never work with children. The man was no stranger to the investigating authorities. He was placed on the list of sex offenders after being convicted of sexual assault against his nine-year-old stepdaughter in 2014.
