Big band, jazz and culinary delights in Haslach

Once again, the Landesmusikschule Rohrbach delighted the audience with a very special kind of performance. On two consecutive evenings in Haslach and Rohrbach, the school big band Brassaxess kicked off the fall season together with the string orchestra and two vocal soloists. 

Once again, the Landesmusikschule Rohrbach proves to be a cultural hotspot in the upper Mühlviertel. Following the successful Bruckner project in spring, the school's big band and string orchestra joined forces once again to pay homage to the classic big band sound on two evenings.

World premiere also on the program
But that's not all: the wide-ranging program of swing classics, pop and film music also included the world premiere of an original composition by teacher Charly Schmid with the fitting title "Mahlzeit".

Pleasure for all the senses
On the first evening at Vonwiller in Haslach, the audience also enjoyed a three-course dinner. Under the confident direction of director Harald Müller, the 52 (!) musicians on the packed stage were joined by the two singers Angelika Silber and Nejc Miklošič, whose vocal performances were particularly impressive.

Every year again?
After standing ovations and several loudly demanded encores, it was clear - there is a need for a repeat performance. If everything goes according to plan, the event will be repeated next year.
