Tired of all-inclusive vacations and the feeling of being cooped up in a resort? Then a camping vacation could be just the thing for you. More and more people are swearing by a trip in their own or rented caravan. Croatia offers the perfect places for such an adventure trip. 

The trend towards camping or caravan vacations continues unabated. After Corona, the trend of being mobile in your own four walls and not being tied to a specific location continues to boom. This is shown by several analyses by the ÖAMTC and tourism companies. Even if you don't have the necessary equipment, this is not a problem. The modern campsites in Croatia also offer mobile homes, bungalows, apartments and much more. Here we have put together some of the best destinations for a wonderful camping experience. 

Umag in the northwest of Croatia
 This beautiful and dreamy little town is located close to the border with Italy. Here you can find everything a vacationer's heart could desire. Beautiful waterfront promenades, a rich nightlife and a family-friendly beach. For those who want to get a little wilder, Umag also has a well-known casino, where you might even be able to win some money for your next vacation.

Zaton in the northern Dalmatia region
 This relatively small town near the large city of Zadar has become an insider tip in recent years. Vacationers can expect numerous leisure activities for an active lifestyle here. Due to its location in relation to the numerous small islands in the Kornati archipelago, it is ideal for exploring the islands by boat. The Krka National Park is also close by. 

Pula - the gateway to Venice
 Pula is not only distinguished by its magnificent history, but is also one of the largest tourist and cultural centers in the Istrian region. Pula was shaped by the ancient Romans. Accordingly, many buildings from this period, such as the amphitheater or the Temple of Augustus, can still be found here. The local beaches have been awarded the Blue Flag, which indicates particularly high water quality. Those interested can also reach the Italian city of Venice from the port of Pula and extend their vacation.

In the nearby town of Medulin, campers can relax and unwind after a long day in the old town. With more than 3000 pitches, there is plenty of space and you can explore Istrian cuisine in the nearby à la carte restaurants. You can then round off the evening in the rocky and sandy bays. 

Krk is a place for enjoyment
Krk is already known to many vacationers in Croatia and is also suitable for a road trip, by motorhome or in mobile homes for rent. Krk is known for its culinary miles and lively shopping streets where you can store to your heart's content. Its pebble beaches and rocky coves have also been awarded the Blue Flag. There are also dog beaches just outside the town of Krk, so that man's best friend can also let off steam here. 

Cikat Bay
 This little insider tip on the island of Losinj is surrounded by pine forests. In the three small bays of Kvarner Bay, you will find everything your heart desires, from sandy to pebble beaches. About 1 km away in Mali Lošinj, children can let off steam in the Cikat Aquapark. Nightlife here takes place in the harbor, where there are several bars and live music. Croatia is just one booking away!
