If you don't want to keep your feet still on December 24th, you should visit these pubs. The alcohol will be flowing and the atmosphere is guaranteed to be good. 

For those who still need to get themselves together after the festive meal, need a digestive or simply want a short break from the family, a few pubs open their doors even on Silent Night. We have the addresses:

• "Rucki" Aristobar: Long-time bar owner Wolfgang Ruckenbauer, nicknamed Rucki, has spontaneously decided to serve his (regular) guests cocktails and long drinks on December 24. The party starts at 10.30 pm at Grinzinger Straße 70, 1190.

• The Vienna Schick Bar is also foregoing a Christmas break this year and will be open for party animals on the 24th and 31st. Barmaid Sabine has a birthday today and is taking the opportunity to toast with guests. The first bottles of sparkling wine will be uncorked from 7.30 pm. Address: Schikanedergasse 5, 1040.

• U4 Xmas Party: If a nightcap is not enough and you want to party, U4 is the place to be. There is no dress code, so you can just stand on the dance floor in your Christmas sweater. Admission: 10 euros.

• 1090: Whether it's a drink after a festive meal or breakfast after a long Christmas night, the "Restaurant 1090" also welcomes guests on public holidays.

• Rochus: Even the popular Rochus on Landstraßer Hauptstraße 55-57 is not quiet at Christmas. The party goes on until midnight in this trendy bar.

So there are plenty of opportunities for a loud silent night.
