Full house at the Hirsch’n Alm on Semmering

World Cup: The "Krone" invited guests to the Hirsch'n Alm on the magic mountain on Saturday evening. Numerous prominent guests accepted the invitation and celebrated with delicacies and fine wines from Lower Austria and Burgenland.

Host Leo Doci, who also runs the Zauberbar and the Bevanda restaurant in Gloggnitz together with his brother Lui, was delighted to welcome numerous celebrities and politicians who enjoyed selected wines from Lower Austria and Burgenland on Saturday after the race.

Leading gymnasts and provincial governors
Among those present were "Krone" gymnast Philipp Jelinek, "Burgenland-Krone" boss Philipp Wagner, ski star Michaela Dorfmeister, star lawyer Manfred Ainedter, former regional sports councillor Jochen Danninger, Wiener Neustadt's mayor Klaus Schneeberger, Südbahnhotel managing director Christian Zeller and the Wessely couple, spirited operators of the Fernblick restaurant in St. Corona am Wechsel, as well as Alexandra Grabner-Fritz, District Governor of Neunkirchen, and Uwe Reinsperger, Head of the Regional Building Authority in Wiener Neustadt. Styrian Governor Mario Kunasek had also previously been a guest at the Krone.

The Semmering inspires
The Governor of Lower Austria, Johanna Mikl-Leitner, and the Provincial Vice Governor and Head of Sport, Udo Landbauer, were delighted with the exciting races and the assurance that Semmering will remain a World Cup venue. "The state's investment in the new race track on the Magic Mountain has more than paid off," they said.

And "Krone" Managing Director Gerhard Valeskini also praised Semmering and the 25-year partnership with the World Cup circus. "It was a great idea to create something like this here to bring people together. That's what the Kronen Zeitung stands for," explained Valeskini.

Special experiences with the "Krone"
The "Niederösterreich-Krone" together with Sportland Niederösterreich raffled off a special winter sports experience that could not be bought and was not included in any VIP package - namely a detailed inspection of the World Cup slope. Living ski legend Michi Dorfmeister took the lead. The two winners, Margit Pötz and Nadja Geßlbauer, were very enthusiastic.
