Girlfriend attacked with hair straightener and jukebox

Another case of domestic violence has occurred in Vienna. On Thursday evening, a 26-year-old man kicked in a kitchen window from outside after his girlfriend refused to let him into her apartment. Shortly afterwards, he threatened to kill her with a broken piece of glass.

When the alerted officers arrived outside the apartment at around 6 p.m., the suspect was arrested immediately. There had allegedly been an argument between the two beforehand. When the 21-year-old woman refused to let the suspect into the apartment, he kicked in the kitchen window from outside to get into the apartment anyway.

He then threw an armchair, a hair straightener and a jukebox at her in the apartment. As if that wasn't bad enough, he also threatened her with a piece of broken glass, but dropped it a short time later.

Prohibition to enter and approach issued
After the arrest, the victim was banned from entering and approaching the police station and a temporary weapons ban was issued. The 21-year-old woman had to receive medical treatment on site. The man is being held by the police.
