Woman forged two signatures on FPÖ list

It was only by chance that the matter came to light: a woman from Payerbach, district of Neunkirchen, forged the signatures of her husband and son on the FPÖ voting list for the local council elections. She has now turned herself in. 

In Payerbach, in the district of Neunkirchen, it only came to light by chance that two signatures had been forged on the FPÖ support declarations for the municipal elections.

"A colleague from the municipal electoral authority spoke to a Payerbach resident and it turned out during the conversation that the gentleman had not signed for the FPÖ at all," explained Payerbach's mayor Jochen Bous (Pro Payerbach). The wife had simply put him and his son on the list. She has since filed a voluntary disclosure.

The mayor knows who the lady is. He does not know why she did this. It had no consequences for the election itself, because in the end there were more than the 21 signatures required. Nevertheless, Bous asks himself: "How many signatures might have been forged?"

"FPÖ-Payerbach was deceived"
 FPÖ district party chairman Jürgen Handler comments: "The submitted lists were duly checked for accuracy. It is obvious that the FPÖ Payerbach was deceived here. Now that a voluntary disclosure has already been made, it is far from our intention to add to this." And: "We can rule out the possibility that other signatures were forged," emphasizes Handler.
