PSG turned a 2-0 defeat against Manchester City into a 4-2 victory

Manchester City are still unable to win in the Champions League and even have to worry about reaching the knockout phase. The English soccer champions lost a furious battle away to Paris Saint-Germain 2:4 on Wednesday despite leading 2:0 and are 25th in the league table, outside the top 24. PSG climbed to 22nd place and can hope to reach the play-offs in the round of 16. FC Bayern, on the other hand, surprisingly lost 3-0 at Feyenoord Rotterdam.

It was the third (away) defeat in the seventh game of the league phase for the Munich side, which dealt a severe blow to their chances of finishing in the top eight and thus advancing directly to the round of 16 as 15th in the table. ÖFB defender Gernot Trauner played in central defense for the ice-cold Dutch side and performed well in a defensive battle against the superior Bavarians. At the German record champions, right-back Konrad Laimer was substituted by coach Vincent Kompany at the break for tactical reasons.

After a commanding 3-0 win over Dinamo Zagreb, Arsenal are third in the table and just one point away from a place in the last 16, with Inter Milan just behind them. The Italian champions, with Marko Arnautovic on the bench, won 1:0 at Sparta Prague. City rivals AC Milan celebrated their fifth successive win in the top flight with a 1-0 victory over Girona and are also in a good position in sixth place. 

City squander 2-0 lead
In the clash between PSG and Man City, important points were at stake on the way to the knockout phase after a weak Champions League season so far. Coach Pep Guardiola's visitors took a seemingly comfortable lead with a double strike from Jack Grealish (50') and Erling Haaland (53') after a goal from PSG defender Achraf Hakimi (45') was disallowed for offside in the first half.

However, the Parisians struck back quickly and spectacularly: Ousmane Dembélé (56') after a strong assist from Bradley Barcola and the 22-year-old Frenchman himself (60') equalized immediately. After a Dembélé cross, Joao Neves (78) sent the PSG fans at the Parc des Princes into ecstasy with a diving header from a free-kick. Goncalo Ramos scored the winner in stoppage time (96'). Man City have picked up just one point in their last four games in the top flight.

Gimenez outplayed Bayern
In Rotterdam, the game had to be interrupted for almost seven minutes immediately after kick-off due to a pyrotechnics show by Feyenoord fans. Once the fog had lifted at De Kuip, Feyenoord took the lead through Santiago Gimenez (21) after a counter-attack. The Mexican took the ball perfectly in the rain and gave Manuel Neuer no chance. Gimenez increased the lead shortly before the break with a penalty (45.+9) after the newly substituted Raphael Guerreiro had committed an unnecessary foul on the edge of the box.

After the break, Bayern set off a firework display in attack and fired a total of 30 (!) shots on goal. However, they were unable to score and instead Ayase Ueda (89) struck for the Dutch side after another counter-attack. Feyenoord thus overtook Bayern and are now eleventh.
