House builders were left with half-finished kitchens, while others lost their deposit - when the operator of a kitchen studio in Ansfelden near Linz went under in June 2024, customers' nerves were on edge. After going bankrupt for millions, the remains of the furniture specialist are now being auctioned off - from vans and kitchens to car tires and houseplants.

The rumbling around MF Interieur GmbH in Ansfelden near Linz began at the end of June 2024, when customers were faced with closed doors and had to read on a notice that the company had closed until its future was clarified. There was then no future for the kitchen studio, which had acted as a partner of DAN: bankruptcy proceedings were opened on August 28.

"Quota cannot yet be reliably estimated"
297 creditors filed claims, the mountain of debt grew to around 5.7 million euros, with around 4.8 million euros currently recognized. "The expected rate for the creditors cannot yet be reliably estimated," says Alexander Meinschad from KSV1870 in Linz.

This houseplant in need of care will also go under the hammer on February 7.

The equipment and fleet of the kitchen studio from Ansfelden near Linz was sold to the best bidder, according to reports. Now 840 items are going under the hammer in an online auction: from the DAN kitchen to built-in sinks and ovens to lights.

Buyers are also being sought for houseplants that are in obvious need of care. And it's not just furniture lovers who will find something: summer and winter tires as well as vans will also be auctioned on the aurena.at platform on February 7.
