Lover beats 47-year-old woman to death in argument

Murder alert in Vienna's 2nd district: According to information from the "Krone" newspaper, a 47-year-old woman was apparently killed in the night. Suspect: her young lover.

As the "Krone" found out, the bloody deed probably took place late Tuesday evening or on Wednesday night. The couple is said to have met in an Airbnb in Leopoldstadt.

However, the mood changed and the two apparently got into an argument, which eventually escalated. The young man - he is 20 years old - attacked the 47-year-old and ultimately inflicted fatal injuries on her.

Officers discovered the lifeless woman
The police and emergency services were alerted, and a short time later the police found the lifeless woman and the suspected perpetrator in the apartment. The emergency doctor was only able to determine that the 47-year-old woman had died.

The suspect is in police custody and questioning is currently underway, according to the police.

There were police everywhere, a neighbor from the 6th floor of the "Krone" reported. "It also stank like crazy," said the woman, who had already feared the worst at the time. But in the end, she didn't dare leave the apartment.
